TAB was founded in 2018 by Duncan Kreeger, who came to the business with a substantial track record in alternative finance — he had previously co-founded, grown and sold a bridging lender, managing a loan book of over £400 million and overseeing more than £2.5 billion in new loans across his career. TAB was built on two values reflected in its name: trust and transparency. It is both a direct lender and a marketplace: loans are funded by matching borrowers with investors on TAB's online platform, where investors can select individual bridging loans to fund and track portfolio performance. The loan book reached £321 million within three years of launch, underpinned by an in-house legal team and quality underwriters who process applications in real time.
