PMJ Capital was established in 2015 by a team with decades of combined experience in property, finance and law. Managing Director Dave came to PMJ after a career of over 35 years in property finance; Lee spent the preceding 15 years as a specialist in development and bridging finance having started at NatWest; Stuart brings over 20 years as a chartered accountant focusing on the property and construction sector; and Ben joined directly from practising law in Manchester and London. That concentration of relevant expertise is not accidental — it shapes how PMJ underwrites every case.
The business was founded around a clear gap PMJ identified in the North West market: SME developers and property entrepreneurs who needed a lender who would genuinely engage with their projects rather than process them through a generic criteria matrix. PMJ lends its own money and operates without credit committees. Every borrower has a dedicated Relationship Manager who is also the decision-maker — no escalation, no waiting for committee approval, no deals agreed in principle that later change.
Since launch, PMJ has deployed over £200 million in bespoke property funding across bridging, development finance and refurbishment. In 2024, PMJ became a Patron of the NACFB and launched the PMJ Private Credit No 1 Fund, an alternative investment vehicle for sophisticated and retail investors seeking property-backed returns from short-term secured lending.
Bridging Loans from PMJ Capital
PMJ lends from £26,000 to £1 million on bridging, with terms up to 12 months and LTVs up to 70%. Rates are priced per case — contact the team for an immediate response. Development finance is available alongside bridging, from £100,000 to £2 million. The lender operates primarily across the North West of England but will consider deals elsewhere on referral.
