Market Financial Solutions was founded in 2006 by Paresh Raja and grew into one of the UK's most prominent specialist bridging lenders, operating from offices at 46 Hertford Street, Mayfair. Over two decades, the business built a loan book of around £2.4 billion and became known for its ability to handle complex cases — offshore structures, non-standard property types, and large loan sizes — with a team of over 100 people and an Excellent Trustpilot rating.
The business offered bridging loans from £100,000 to £50 million across residential, commercial and semi-commercial property, with rates from 0.75% per month and LTVs up to 75%. It also offered buy-to-let mortgages and, in 2018, became the first UK bridging lender to open a Singapore office. Institutional funding lines included facilities from Barclays, Jefferies and other major lenders, alongside securitisation structures.
Current Status
Following a High Court application by creditors in February 2026 alleging serious concerns about lending practices, MFS was placed into administration. The process is ongoing. Any borrowers with active MFS facilities should seek independent legal advice and contact the administrators directly. New cases should not be submitted to MFS in the current environment.
